The Workforce Development Board (WDB) of Solano County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides talent-related services for job seekers and businesses in Solano County, California. The WDB oversees the Workforce Innvation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) federally funded workforce services on behalf of the County of Solano. The public/private partnership is intended to carry out the WDB’s mission to build and sustain a skilled workforce, a vibrant economy, and a shared prosperity for the community of Solano County.
Solano County is located in the San Francisco Bay Area and is adjacent to many of Northern California’s cultural and recreational attractions. Solano County has labor market connections to both the SF Bay Area and the Sacramento Region. Solano County offers strong cultural, and ethnic diversity and houses two of the top ten most diverse cities in the country.
The WDB provides a competitive benefits package including: 100% employee medical, dental and vision coverage, life insurance with additional employee buy-up packages, retirmement with 3% match opportunity after 1 year, and vacation and time-off package.
