Work Experience Opportunity!

Work experience is a planned, structured learning experience that takes place in a workplace and provides young adults with opportunities for career exploration and skill development. A work experience may take place in the private for-profit section, the non-profit sector, or the public sector.

Our work experience program is designed to give young adults the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that will allow them to develop the necessary skills to obtain and maintain employment in the future.

WIOA identifies four types of work experience for young adults:

  • Summer employment and other employment opportunities available throughout the school year
  • Pre-apprenticeship programs
  • Internships and job shadowing
  • On-the-job training.
